Exporting Playable Ads
Export customized playable ads to ad networks with parameters, localization, and real-time progress tracking
Overview
After customizing your playable ad parameters and translations, you can export network-ready builds directly from the Customization page. The export process injects your current parameter values and localizations into the playable ad files, producing ready-to-deploy builds for each selected ad network.
How to Export
Open the Customization Page
Navigate to any variant through Games → Version → Variant → Customize, or directly via the Customization page with a version/variant selected.
Click "Export with Parameters"
In the top action bar, click the Export with Parameters button. This opens the Export dialog.
This button is disabled when no network files are available for the version, or when viewing a demo game.
Select Networks
In the Networks tab, choose which ad networks to include in the export:
- Use the checkboxes to select individual networks
- Click Select All to include every available network
- Each network shows an estimated file size badge to help you plan
- The total size for all selected networks is displayed at the top
Configure Localization (Optional)
Switch to the Localization tab to export with language-specific translations:
- Toggle Use Localization on
- Select the locales you want to include
- Each selected locale generates a separate export per network
If localization is disabled, all networks are exported with the current parameter values without translations.
Start Export
Click the Export button to begin. The button shows the count of selected networks and locales (e.g., "Export 3 Networks × 2 Locales").
Monitor Progress
Export progress is tracked in real-time with two phases:
- Building — The server processes each network file, injects parameters, and packages the builds. A progress bar shows the current network being processed.
- Downloading — Once building completes, the export file downloads automatically. You'll see download speed, progress, and estimated time remaining.
The dialog cannot be closed during export to prevent interruption.
Download Complete
The export file downloads automatically as a ZIP archive. The dialog closes when the download finishes.
Organization Export Defaults
Your organization can configure default export settings under Settings → Export. When configured:
- Default networks are pre-selected when opening the Export dialog
- Default locales are pre-filled in the Localization tab
You can always modify these selections before exporting.
Important Notes
- Save before exporting — If you have unsaved localization changes, a warning appears in the Export dialog. Save your translations first to ensure they are included.
- Demo games — Export is not available for demo games. The Export button is disabled with a tooltip explanation.
- Size estimates — Estimated sizes may vary ±5% from the actual export size.
- Parameters are embedded — Exported files include your current parameter values (colors, text, images, audio) baked into the playable ad HTML.
Troubleshooting
Export Button is Disabled
- Verify that network files have been uploaded for this version (check the Networks tab on the Version detail page)
- Demo games cannot be exported
Export Fails
- Check your internet connection — large exports require stable connectivity
- Ensure you have selected at least one network
- If using localization, ensure at least one locale is selected
Exported File Does Not Work
- Test the exported file in the ad network's creative preview tool
- Verify that parameter values are correct (check in the Customization preview first)
- Ensure media assets (images, audio) are properly uploaded and accessible
Next Steps
- Learn about variants to create network-specific customizations
- Review the customization tools for editing parameters
- Set up localization for multi-language exports
